About Longmire
Longmire was transferred to Bluebonnet from the Houston SPCA.

Evaluation and Training
Longmire came to Bluebonnet halter trained but did not have much other training.
His Challenge trainer worked with him on the ground some and may have ridden him a time or two. He was test ridden by a trainer at our Expo (October 2021) who said he did not know anything under saddle, but he’s very quiet and easy-going. She rode him with both a saddle and also later rode him bareback, and he did not spook or get anxious even with the commotion of a big event going on around him.
Longmire is now with a young adult rider/trainer who has been working with him. She says he's still not spooky at all and is quite fun to ride. She's ridden him in arenas and on trails and while he's green, he's doing well! With some more training, he has the potential to be a kids' or beginner's horse.
He appears to be gaited, and he should make a fun trail and pleasure horse for his lucky adopter.
