About Monty
Monty was rescued by Houston SPCA and then transferred to Bluebonnet. He has very low pasterns and his veterinarian felt he should only be lightly ridden - mostly walking or used as a leadline horse. Monty quickly adopted after his arrival but was returned a few months later when his adopter was hurt in an accident and was no longer able to care for him.
Evaluation and Training
Due to his low pasterns, Monty is available as a leadline or companion horse only. Monty's foster reports that he is a very "in your pocket" sweet boy. He can be a little pushy on the ground but we are working on that.
