Toby is halter broke, and his first foster home said not much bothered him. He was returned by his adopter because he reared when she attempted to do groundwork with him. We believe he learned to rear to escape whatever he did not want to do. When Toby was returned, we sent him to a trainer. Toby’s trainer worked on his ground manners and he’s now good to handle on the ground: he leads, stands tied, and has stopped rearing. He’s also good with small children on the ground in his foster home.

Toby has had some groundwork, desensitizing, and lunging from the ground. His trainer is excited to start him under saddle.

Toby has been working with a trainer since June. He is super sweet and very willing. He does great with the farrier and has been introduced to new things. His trainer has started working some under saddle and is able to walk, trot, and Canter in the round pen. They've also introduced obstacles.
