About Cadence
Cadence is a large Hanoverian Mare that was used for pleasure riding by her previous owner. She was turned in by her owners when they could no longer keep her. Cadence is originally from South Dakota. She ended up in a sale barn in Arkansas 4 years ago and was purchased from there.
Cadence was returned in July when her adopters were moving and could not keep her.
Evaluation and Training
Cadence would make a nice pleasure horse for light to moderate riding, due to her age. She is broke to ride but would do best with an intermediate rider. She can be pushy and with her size she could intimidate a novice rider. She can be caught in a large pasture with persistence but is easy to catch in a smaller pasture. She is well mannered and easy to handle. Her owner reports that she can be dominant in a herd.
