About Amir
He came to Bluebonnet from a neglect case. Amir has scarring in his left eye due to an old, untreated injury and has limited vision in that eye. The vision limitations do not seem to bother him.
Evaluation and Training
Amir spent four months with trainer Saydea Bontke in the summer-fall of 2022 preparing for the Training Challenge. She rode him in a round pen, arena, and open field at a walk, trot, and canter. They also trail rode and rode over obstacles.
He really seems to love trail riding and doesn’t know his age! He is bold horse and will need an experienced rider. He’s got potential as a trail horse or even a limited distance endurance horse for the right rider. At this time, he’s not a kids’ horse or available for beginners.
