About Paco
Paco and his dam, Esperanza, were surrendered to animal control when their owner was investigated for neglect. They were then transferred to us. Paco was weaned once he and his dam were healthy, and he was gelded in early 2023.
Paco was returned in Bluebonnet in late 2023, through no fault of his own.
Evaluation and Training
Paco is a handsome colt with a wonderful temperament. He is extremely friendly, calm, and laid back. He will come right up from the field to be haltered and can be rubbed all over. He leads easily and stands calmly when tied (together with herd mates). Paco has been trimmed several times and gives all four feet, although not perfectly.
We would like to find Paco an adopter who will wait until he’s 3-4 years old to train him to ride, but someone could start doing in hand training with him now to have him ready to go under saddle when he’s old enough.
