About Eloise

Eloise was placed with Bluebonnet when her owners could not keep her. She’s gotten along well with other horses, sheep goats, and the barn cat at her foster homes. Everyone who meets her agrees that she’s a very sweet mare.

Eloise is competing in the Non-Pro Under Saddle Division of the Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge with Ellis Edmonson. You can follow their progress on their Facebook page CLICK HERE.

Evaluation and Training

Eloise is a sweet and smart mare who learns quickly. She picks up all four feet for the farrier, she stands for grooming, saddling, bridling, and mounting. She also leads well and loads well.

Her donor said she was broke to ride, and her current foster home confirmed that. She said Eloise is very smooth to ride, she turns and stops well, and she doesn’t mind things like dirt bikes or tractors. Her foster home has also thrown a rope off of her and said she did excellent. She believes with just a little more riding/training that Eloise would be a good beginner or kids horse.
