BEHS 1358 – Kyra

Kyra is an 8-year-old Arabian mare, standing at 13.3 hands high. She transferred in from another rescue, and although not much about her history is known, she seems to be well handled. She leads and loads perfectly, will walk and trot in hand. She stands for grooming and will pick her feet up for cleaning.

Kyra competed in the Professional Division of the 2023 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge.
She has learned ground manners, and to navigate obstacles, and has been started under saddle. Her trainers took her to her first show (at their barn) and Kyra handled the commotion of other horses and riders well and even placed in her class. Kyra needs someone who can give her a job. She is super smart and could very easily excel in any discipline of their rider's choosing. She is hesitant at first but with reassurance from her handler she will try just about anything you throw at her. The one thing she does lack is confidence and she relies on her rider and handler to give that to her. She needs consistency and someone who can put her in the right direction, and she will follow.
