About Jake's Mystery
Mystery was removed from a negligent owner and placed with Bluebonnet in the summer of 2023. She was underweight, but otherwise healthy. She went to a foster who continued her rehabilitation and worked with her on learning how to be a well-behaved horse. She is very friendly and affectionate. She likes to be with people and other horses. She has been turned out with adult horses and interact appropriately with them.
Evaluation and Training
She is learning ground manners but is still stubborn when she is uncertain about her surroundings and pushy if she wants to be somewhere. She is easy to halter. She loads well, but sometime need a little patient coaching. You can handler her feet and she stand nicely for the farrier. She handles fly spray and a bath well as long as you spray away from her before spraying her. When she is impatient, she occasionally tries to nibble on whatever is close. She responds well to correction action when this occurs.
