About Vincent Van Gogh
Vincent was removed from negligent owners and placed with Bluebonnet by the courts. He was a stallion when he arrived and gelded September 2, 2023.
Evaluation and Training
Vincent had not been handled much before coming to Bluebonnet, or it had been a long time since he had been handled. When he arrived, he was hard to catch and did not lead well.
He’s been in a foster home since mid-September 2023. He was integrated into a herd of geldings and placed in the middle of the herd hierarchy.
His foster home can now walk up to him in the pasture if she goes slow and is patient. If she goes slow, she can also touch him all over and pick up his feet.
She says that he is smart and learns quickly and seems to want to please, he just doesn’t trust easily so he needs someone patient and gentle. He is a cute horse and has lovely movement.
