About Marshall

Marshall was seized from negligent owners and placed with Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society. The former owner had well-bred cutting stock, but we did not get the papers for any of the horses.

Evaluation and Training

Marshall is doing great with his foster and is learning a lot. He is easy to catch in the pasture and will be the first one there. He will load in the trailer. He will lead but prefers to follow his buddies if they are around. Marshall loves to be brushed, scratched anywhere, anytime while eating. He is unafraid of any grooming tools, picks, combs etc. and doesn’t mind tail/mane/forelock being messed with for a long time. He is patient and kind. Of course, he loves to then go roll immediately after his beauty sessions. He is working on standing tied and when the weather gets warmer, he will get to enjoy a bath. Marshall will let his foster clean his feet and has gotten better with the farrier. The 1st two times with the farrier he did a slight kick once but then was a gentleman the rest of the visit. Marshall is getting used to loud noises, a lot of activity around him and children. His next set of goals are to continue his basic skills and starting to lunge.
