About Cherokee
Cherokee was born at her Bluebonnet foster home on April 27 2008. Her mom was part of a neglect case and came to the rescue pregnant. Of course we didn't know when exactly she was due, and Kenna and her family watched over her closely wondering when she would share her foal with all of us. Cherokee arrived and quickly stole the Graves' family heart. They adopted her but had to return her through no fault of hers. She attended the 2013 Bluebonnet Horse Expo where she met her adopter. Congrats to Cherokee and her new family!
Evaluation and Training
Cherokee’s foster home started her under saddle in January-February 2013. They started on ground work and Natural Horsemanship games and in February Cherokee’s foster started riding her. Her foster home has been riding her for several months. She can walk, trot, and canter under saddle. She has been on a few trail rides and to riding clinics. She's still green so she'll need someone who can continue her training.
