Frannie and Zoey were part of a herd of miniature horses whose owner died. He left the horses to family members who refused to care for them or part with them until they were investigated for neglect. Zoey was born after her owner passed away, and she had never been handled before arriving at BEHS. Frannie was so thin when she arrived that BEHS did not believe she would make it. Fortunately both mom and baby not only survived but thrived. Their foster home decided to adopt them and are training Frannie to drive.
