About Nadia
Nadia came to Bluebonnet from a neglect case in 2008. Her first foster home fell in love with her and quickly adopted her. Unfortunately, personal issues forced her to return Nadia in 2019.
Nadia was enrolled in the spring 2020 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge. Several people were following her online and had applied to adopt her, and when her trainer decided to drop out of the Challenge, she was quickly adopted!
Evaluation and Training
Nadia came to Bluebonnet as a young horse who hadn’t had much handling. Despite her rocky start, since she came to Bluebonnet as a young horse, she's had good care for most of her life. Her first foster home/adopter worked with her on the ground and then started her under saddle. She didn’t get to ride a lot, but Nadia did well. She was green under saddle when she returned. Nadia was ridden some by a non-pro in an arena, over obstacles and in the round pen. She felt Nadia was very green and needed a more experienced rider to finish her out and bring out her full potential. Nadia spent some time training with Hilary Lobue of Hummingbird Hill Horse Training during the fall of 2019 to work on her basics under saddle.
