About Navajo

Navajo came to BEHS as part of a neglect case. He was a little colt who was underweight. Once he recovered, he was gelded and turned into a sweet little guy. He was adopted in 2009 and returned in 2018 when his adopters could no longer keep him. Navajo had experienced intermittent lameness when he was returned and was being treated, trying to return his soundness, when one morning his foster home walked out to find him deceased. His veteriarian suspects a heart attack or anneurysm.

Evaluation and Training

Navajo leads and loads well. He is friendly and easy to catch. His adopter did a good bit of ground work with him. After he was returned, he was diagnosed with an intermittent front end lameness. Because of this, he is available as a pet or companion only horse. He is friendly and could be taught tricks or shown over obstacles in hand since he’s fearless!
