About Calypso
Calypso came to BEHS in February of 2009 along with another paint colt, Navajo. Both were neglected and scrawny when they arrived after being removed from negligent owners. Calypso gained weight and blossomed into a gorgeous young horse.
Calypso was returned in 2013 through no fault of his own, but his foster home quickly fell in love and adopted him. Calypso came back to Bluebonnet in 2016 when his adopter died. He was adopted shortly afterwards by a family.
Evaluation and Training
Calypso was trained to ride by a previous adopter. He's been ridden by children, teens, and adults. He's been shown in American Indian Horse Registry shows and has earned national honors. He's been used for leadline with small children, and he's been trail ridden.
