Santana - another one of the 'Hopkins County 57' group was adopted by his foster mom, Tracy C. this week. Santana is another beautiful Arabian (now) gelding. Having been kept in a stall for at least a year (on top of four feet of manure), he was a bit anxious and had a hard time settling when he first arrived at Bluebonnet. Since, he has been gelded and settled with his new foster home. Through treating Santana for an eye problem, Tracy bonded with him and decided that he could/should stay right where he was and adopted him. He was with her almost a year before he suffered from a fungal infection. His adopter fought for him, but he could not recover and she let him cross the Rainbow Bridge.
