About Babe
Babe came to BEHS last year as part of a neglect case involving over 50 horses and four agencies. She was adopted to be part of a therapeutic horsemanship program in 2010, but did not have the personality to deal with so many new people and was returned. In the summer of 2013, she was placed with a sanctuary that specializes in older horses where she can live out her life in luxury. The sanctuary let us know that in the summer of 2015, they lost Babe. Everyone there mourned her loss as she was a sweet girl who fit in so well at the sanctuary.
Evaluation and Training
She doesn't appear broke to ride: and due to her age and an old injury to one leg, she shouldn't be put through the stress of training to ride. She would be a nice companion for a lonely horse and pet for someone who enjoys spending time with horses. Babe has gained weight and seems to enjoy hanging out with her buddies in the pasture.
