About Mystique
Mystique was part of a large neglect case. She was removed in a joint effort between BEHS and three other agencies. She was placed with BEHS by the courts. She was rehabilitated quickly, but she came to us with some behavioral problems and wasn't an easy horse to handle. As she's waited for "her" person, she has settled and matured. She moved to a new foster home who fell in love with her and adopted her. Mystique’s found the forever family she deserves!
Evaluation and Training
Mystique is a big and powerful mare. She is likely not broke to ride and will need an experienced adopter who can work to improve her ground manners and then begin working her under saddle. She leads and loads but does set back sometimes when tied. In late 2011, she spent several weeks with a trainer. She was unpredictable on the ground and did not get started under saddle. He felt she would do best as a pet/companion to a lonely horse.
