About Sebastian
Sebastian was seized along with several other horses in a joint effort between BEHS and three other agencies. He was rehabilitated and then was adopted in December of 2009. His adopter loved him and did a great job training him, but she had to move and could not take him with her so she returned Sebastian in July 2013. Sebastian attended a clinic with Joe Weitekamp at the end of July (2013) and met his adopter there. She came back to get him the next weekend. Congrats to Sebastian and Kristina!
Evaluation and Training
Sebastian is a kind, somewhat reserved horse who loves attention. He leads and loads well, and he stands well for grooming, fly spraying, etc. He also stands tied. His adopter started him under saddle and while she says he's green, she did some jumping with him and said he did well at it. Don't let Sebastian's age fool you - he's in great shape and has a bright future ahead of him! He could be a nice English horse for someone willing to ride him. His foster home has started riding him and agrees that Sebastian is green, but she says he's quiet and willing. He has a big, beautiful trot and doesn't seem spooky or goofy at all. Adopt him quickly before he gets more training and his adoption fee goes up!
