About Lone Starlett

Lone Starlett was part of a large neglect case. She was removed in a joint effort between BEHS and law enforcement and then placed with BEHS by the courts. Lone Starlett competed in the 2010 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge and won her category, youth handler, with her trainer, Kayden. Lone Starlett caught her adopter’s eye at the Expo and during the challenge, and she was adopted that day (10/16/2010). She was returned in 2016 due to her adopter's job change. She was adopted right away but returned quicky because her adopters didn't have enough time for her.Lone Starlett was 3rd in the professional division of the 2016 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge and was adopted at the event.

Evaluation and Training

Lone Starlett had not been handled much before coming to Bluebonnet. She participated in the 2010 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge in the in hand division. She learned to perform ground work and navigate in hand trail obstacles for the competition. She is spending July-October with trainer Kayt Ladue to be started under saddle in preparation for the Bluebonnet Rescue Hose Training Challenge. Lone Starlett is doing great with her trainer. At her first horse show, she won Grand Champion Halter Horse, and at her second show she placed in several halter and riding classes. She's going to make someone an excellent horse!
