About Emma Ly

Emma Ly was placed with BEHS when her owners were investigated for neglect. She was adopted in February 2010 by her foster home, but rehomed with a new adopter in 2015 when her former adopter could no longer keep her. Unfortunately she didn't work out and was returned shortly after. Emma Ly won 2nd place in the foster horse under saddle division of the 2016 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge and was adopted at the event. She returned her in 2019 because her daughter, who she adopted Emma Ly for, was not riding her. She showed Emma Ly in the spring 2019 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge non-pro division, and she was adopted shortly afterwards to be a riding horse. Congrats to Emma Ly!

Evaluation and Training

Emma Ly was evaluated by a professional trainer shortly after she came to BEHS. He discovered she was broke to ride. Since then, she's been ridden by a variety of riders with differing ability. She's spent hours on the trails and is a great trail horse. She's been ridden over both man-made and natural trail obstacles, and she's gone camping with her current foster home. This mare would be a great horse for someone wanting to trail or pleasure ride.
