About Fey
Fey was placed with BEHS by her owner. She is a nice mare who is quiet under saddle and was looking for the perfect home. She found that home with the Rothert family. She’ll be their teenage daughter’s riding horse and will also teach the young family members to ride. In 2016, Fey's family had outgrown her and rehomed her to a new family.
In September 2020, Fey's family let us know she had crossed the rainbow bridge due to colic. Her adopter said, "She was a very sweet mare who stood at my yard gate every morning waiting for a handout. I, along with my young nephews and nieces, enjoyed riding her often through the pasture." They buried her ashes in the pasture with the family's older horse, who had been her companion. Our sympathy goes out to Fey's families!
Evaluation and Training
Fey was trained for dressage by her previous owner and used as a lesson horse by both her previous owner and her previous adopter. She can be ridden by children or adults, has been ridden both English and western, jumps, and enjoys trails. She has been ridden around livestock, on roads, and near cars with no problems.
She is a very sweet mare who gets along well with other horses and humans.
