About Lu Blu
Lu Blu came to BEHS as part of a neglect case - she was a scrawny little foal who needed some TLC. She got plenty of TLC thanks to her foster family, and she blossomed into a beautiful filly. Her new family saw her pictures, went to meet her and fell in love. She was adopted as a youngster by a family who loved her dearly. They had to return her in 2022 through no fault of hers.
Lu Blu began experiencing lameness while in a foster home. It continued to progress, and we had to send her across the Rainbow Bridge when we could no longer keep her comfortable.
Evaluation and Training
Lu Blu was kept as a pet by her first adopters for about ten years. She was loved and well cared for, but not trained to ride. She went to a trainer when she was returned, and she was lame when they worked with her. Her vet diagnosed her with ringbone in the spring of 2022. Because of this, she’s available as a pet/companion horse only.
