About Golden Butterfly

Golden Butterfly was seized by law enforcement and awarded to BEHS. Golden Butterfly attended the 2014 Bluebonnet Horse Expo and was adopted at the event!

Evaluation and Training

Golden Butterfly has shown amazing resilience and trust with her foster mom after her previous situation. She is very easy to handle once caught, leads well, ties, and walks easily into a trailer. When trimming her the first time, it seemed clear she was familiar with the process and held her feet up well for the farrier. She knickers whenever she sees her foster mom, and has learned her new routine quickly.

She has been worked with from July - October 2014 for the Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge. She's been ridden in an arena and over trail obstacles and does well. She is not for an inexperienced or timid handler.

Golden Butterfly is competing in the 2014 Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society in the Foster Horse Needing Additional Training division with Sarah Osborne. You can follow their progress on their Facebook page here. Golden Butterfly will be available for adoption for approved adopters at the Challenge.
