About Gaucho
Gaucho was seized by law enforcement and was awarded to BEHS by the courts. Gaucho quickly gained weight and his foster “mom” found out that he was broke to ride - and gaited! He attended the 2011 Bluebonnet Horse Expo where he met his adopters. They applied to adopt that day and took him home a month later. The adopters had Gaucho until early 2014 when they rehomed with him family.
Evaluation and Training
Gaucho is still a young guy. The law enforcement officers who removed him from his negligent owners said he was being ridden although he was only about 18 months old at the time. He appeared to have saddle sores on his back. Due to the long-term neglect he suffered, we would like him to have another year to grow before being ridden. However he's at a great age to do ground work with and to get him used to a properly fitted saddle and bridle. He's a cute little guy who could do almost anything someone trained him for.
