About Jericho

Jericho came to BEHS in 2011 - he was found estray and his owner was never located. He was in his mid-teens and he was a stallion, so he had a bit of attitude to overcome. smileHis foster home worked with him and competed with him in the 2011 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge. He was adopted in 2013 but returned in 2014 when his adopter had to move out of state. Fortunately he was quickly re-adopted and will be spending his life as a much loved trail and pleasure horse.

Evaluation and Training

Jericho didn't appear to have much training when he came to BEHS, but he's progressing well with his foster home. Jericho's foster home has taught him to walk, trot and canter under saddle both in a round pen and in an arena. He's still green, but he won the Experienced Foster Home division of the 2011 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge. With more training, he's going to make someone a gorgeous riding horse.
