About Little Eddie
Little Eddie, or Eddie as most people call him, has come a long way from the scared donkey jack who was found estray and then placed with Bluebonnet. After getting gelded and getting his vet and farrier care up to date, Eddie went to a foster experienced with donkeys. She found that Eddie really just needed someone who "spoke donkey" and didn't think he should act or think just like a horse. Once Eddie met someone who understood him, he really learned to like humans. He's now a sweet pet who is halter trained, likes attention, and is a joy to be around.
He is bonded to his pasture-mate, Heath (aka Hershey) and the two need to be adopted together.
Evaluation and Training
Eddie loves attention. He really doesn't want to be left in a field, and he's not interested in being a livestock guardian. He wants to have humans, maybe a whole family, who he can call his. He leads well, he stands for the farrier if you talk him through it, and he knows how to navigate trail or agility obstacles in hand. He might really enjoy doing donkey agility courses with his humans!
He's also dressed up in costumes and gone to events as a spokes donkey, and he enjoys the attention from adoring fans.
