About Aster
Aster and her foal Astro were found estray by the sheriff's department. When her owners could not be located, the county turned them over to BEHS. She is a shy donkey, so it took some time to find her forever home - but she found it in July 2013. She goes to join several other adopted BEHS critters!
Evaluation and Training
At first Aster acted as if she had very little handling. She is very curious and quiet in nature. Aster was very good on her recent visit to the vet. She was easily haltered in the trailer and led well in the vet clinic without pulling back. She did not offer to bite or kick when handled. Aster is a standard sized donkey, and could be taught to pull a cart or simply enjoyed as a family pet.
