About Spotty Dotty
A little over a year ago, four donkeys and a mule arrived at my house. They had all been found estray and the sheriff's department asked BEHS to take them in. One of the donkeys was a cute spotted girl who was VERY pregnant and very sweet. I kept hoping she would foal before she left for her foster home, but she held out on me. :) After her baby was born, the pair attended the 2011 Bluebonnet Horse Expo where they were a huge hit, but Spotty Dotty remained in the rescue until just now! She moved to a new foster home last month, and the foster home fell in love with her. :) They decided to adopt her - so now Spotty Dotty has an awesome loving home for life. :) Thank you to Cindy and Bill! Evaluation and Training
Spotty Dotty is easy to catch and halter, even in the pasture. She has never offered to bite or kick when handled. She leads, but not very well, and often stops - like many donkeys, she does best with a butt rope. She is a sweet donkey who would make someone a wonderful pet and could be a companion to another donkey or lonely horse. Someone with donkey experience could even train her to ride or pull a cart.
