About Famous
Famous was found estray by the sheriff's department. When his owners could not be located, the county turned them over to BEHS. He competed with his foster home in the 2010 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge but wasn't adopted at the event. He returned home with her and continued to work to win her over. She decided at the 2012 Bluebonnet Horse Expo that she couldn't live without him and adopted him! She had Famous for over four years when she lost him to colic. Our sympathy is with Famous' adopter and all of his connections.
Evaluation and Training
Famous was jumpy and untrusting when he first arrived, but is becoming more comfortable in his foster home. He leads, but with his size, he can easily lead his handler. He's not broke to ride, but his foster home has taught him to carry a saddle and has been working with him. Together, they competed in the 2011 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge. he's a great size to train and could be a fun trail riding or pleasure riding mule for a lucky adopter.
