Sir Winston was surrendered to his local animal control officers when his owners couldn’t care for him. They placed with him BEHS and he moved straight into a foster home. He was slightly lame when he arrived at his foster home, and his lameness continued to worsen as he put on weight. A veterinarian determined that he had foundered in the past and was also severely arthritic in the rear end. As he gained weight, he would continue to worsen. The hard decision was made to let Sir Winston go with a full belly before his pain grew any worse.
