Roux is halter broke and stands for grooming, fly spray, and farrier work. She's easy to catch and loves attention. She spent two weeks with trainer Mark Lyon in February 2013 and was started under saddle. She learned to walk, trot, and canter under saddle and learned to navigate trail obstacles. She was ridden in both an arena and on the trails.She hasn't been ridden in a while because of her foster home's schedule, but they say she's easy to ride and a little on the lazy side. She had good potential as a trail or pleasure horse.Roux is still wary around her head, so her foster home always approaches from the right side and make no quick movements, but the only thing she does is move her head away---nothing aggressive. She stands for the farrier with no problem, and she's fairly easy to worm. She loads with very little trouble. She's easy to catch even in the pasture.
