About Miskwaa
Miskwaa was removed from negligent owners in a joint effort between BEHS and law enforcement. She was then awarded to BEHS by the courts. She was fostered for two years before her foster home adopted her in 2014. They returned her in 2017 through no fault of hers. Miskwaa then spent a year and a half in her foster home. When she arrived at Buebonnet, she had an old injury to a front pastern. Over time, the pastern deterioriated and she was in pain. We made the hard decision to let her cross the Rainbow Bridge in April 2019. Our symapthy is with her foster home and all of her Bluebonnet connections.
Evaluation and Training
Miskwaa isn't broke to ride, and because of her lameness she is available as a pet or companion only.Her foster home reports that she's a very sweet horse who loves attention and petting. Miskwaa's foster home can touch her all over, but she cannot pick up her feet. She's working with her on this.
