About Sir Lion
Update from Sir Lion’s adopter, June 5, 2014: He and his adopter are becoming quite a team! Lion's adopter says he's helping her become a better rider, and she's helping him get back into shape. They're training now for their show ring debut in August (Training Level 1, dressage). I LOVE seeing our horses happy and seeing our adopters happy!
Evaluation and Training
Sir Lion is a trained dressage horse, but he wasn't ridden consistently in the few years before he came to BEHS. When he first arrived, he was a bit spooky under saddle but he's doing better now. His foster home has been riding him at a walk, trot, and canter in the arena and has discovered he knows how to perform lateral movements and is a pretty mover. When he does spook now, she says his spook is small.
Whoever adopts him will get a nice horse to learn with and show.
