Kastanie has spent July-October 2014 with trainer Crystal Bailey preparing for the Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge. She has been started under saddle and hauled to various places to see the sites. She walks, jogs, and lopes under saddle. She lopes large fast, small fast, large slow, and small slow circles. She has developed a nice sliding stop and a good back up. She knows how to do flying lead changes in either direction and picks up the correct lead when asked. She's learned to pivot (and may know how to spin by the Expo). She's also been started on the barrel pattern, over jumps, and on cattle. She hauls very well, stands tied for the farrier to be saddled and washed. She's been ridden by her trainer and by children, and her trainer feels she'll be a great youth or novice horse.
