When Memphis arrived last year, he was emaciated and covered with severe sunburns (most likely due to eating a toxic plant that cause an extreme sensitivity to the sun). I thought it would take years before he healed, but after about six months most of his skin had healed and left him with just a couple of small scars. After his physical rehab completed, Memphis was adopted but was a bad fir for his adopter and was quickly returned. He went to a riding home and turned out to be green but nice under saddle. He's been adopted as a lesson horse - and his future is bright! Congrats to Memphis and to the children and adults he will teach!
