About Butterscotch

Butterscotch was removed from negligent owners and placed with BEHS by the courts. She blossomed into a gorgeous horse. She was very popular when she went up for adoption and was adopted to be a family horse in 2014. She was returned in 2018 because her family no longer had time for her.Butterscotch competed in the 2018 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge at the Bluebonnet Horse Expo. She met her adopter at the Expo. Congrats Butterscotch!

Evaluation and Training

Butterscotch is a very endearing and loves people, if you go into the pasture with her she will not leave your side and gives you a lovely little nicker when she sees you. She loaded and travelled well and is very easy to handle and will back up with a light touch of your finger to her nose. At her adopter's home, she was ridden by teens and adults and worked on cattle. Her Training Challenge partner has been riding her and introducing her to obstacles.
