About Lyric
Lyric was removed from negligent owners and placed with BEHS. Lyric attended the 2014 Bluebonnet Horse Expo and was adopted at the event!
Through no fault of her own, Lyric was returned in April of 2024.
Lyric was going to compete in the Non-Pro Under Saddle Division of the 2024 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge, when his challenge partner quickly fell in love with her and adopted her!
Evaluation and Training
Lyric's foster home says she stands well for fly spray and blanketing. She doesn't mind wearing a saddle blanket or surcingle, either. She's stood quietly for saddling and didn't mind having a rider mount. Her former owners claimed they had been riding her, but it seems Lyric doesn't know much (if anything). However, she's sweet and easy-going and should be easy to train.
Lyric stands tied, but she loves to be brushed and will just stand quietly while her foster home brushes her, without being tied.
She spent July-October in the 2014 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge and was started under saddle.
Lyric came back to Bluebonnet and now is back in the training challenge. Lyric loves getting groomed and her jolly ball. She loves human attention and will meet you right at the gate. She stood well at the mounting block and her trainer is riding in a small arena.
