About Little Miss SunShyne
Little Miss SunShyne was removed from negligent owners and placed with BEHS by law enforcement. We don’t know her history before she arrived, but she was in very poor shape and took many months to rehabilitate. Once she was rehabilitated, though, it became clear that she had been well handled in her life and had seen a good bit of the world. Since she’s older, we searched for a home where she could be a friend, pet, and light riding horse. She found that home and is a beloved part of her new family.
Evaluation and Training
Little Miss Sunshyne, aka Sunny, is a sweet older mare who has a lot of love to give a lucky adopter! She leads, loads and travels in a trailer, and stands tied well. She’s good for the vet, dentist, and farrier. Despite her poor condition when she arrived and missing teeth, she’s become a fairly easy keeper, too. Her foster home says she stands well for saddling and mounting, and she’s been quiet and easy to ride in a pen/arena. She’s ridden her in a western saddle and hackamore. Due to her age, she should be limited to moderate riding (no gaming, jumping, endurance riding), but she could make someone an excellent pleasure/trail horse.
