About Sterling
Sterling came to BEHS in 2013 when his owner couldn't keep him. He was adopted in 2014 but returned in early 2015 year for personal reasons. He was quickly readopted but returned again due to personal reasons in late 2015. He attended the 2015 Bluebonnet Horse Training Challenge, met an adopter, and went to a new home! In July 2020 he was suffering from severe lameness and crossed the rainbow bridge. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to his adopters.
Evaluation and Training
Sterling was started under saddle before coming to BEHS. While with his adopters in 2015, he was ridden quite a bit - both in arenas and on trails. He was also used to lead children around, and his adopter's daughter rode him bareback. He stands ties, leads, and loads and is a gentle giant. Someone will get a great horse when they adopt Sterling!
