About Winifred
Winifred was surrendered to BEHS when her owner was investigated for neglect. As she gained weight and rehabilitated, she developed a lameness which turned out to be an untreated fracture from before she came to BEHS. Her lameness gradually got worse and we made the choice to send her across the Rainbow Bridge.
Evaluation and Training
Winifred is broke to ride and has been trail ridden in her foster home. Her current foster home is working on ground work: getting Winifred comfortable with having her body handled, being fly sprayed, etc. Unfortunately, she's now experiencing an intermittent lameness that's being evaluated by a veterinarian.
