BEHS 751 – Silver Belle

Silver Belle is a cute mare, with a lovely head and beautiful eyes surrounded by her natural eyeliner. She moves gracefully and is quite animated – often seen trotting and cantering about in the pasture. She is very easily caught, haltered, and led. Silver Belle was selected to participate in the Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge. In preparation for the competition she benefited from in-hand training from mid-June to mid-October 2015, including navigating trail obstacles and working in the round pen. Also, she attended her first horse show at the end of September, placing second in trail in-hand. At that show she never batted an eye at the trail obstacles, new facility, etc. In the October Training Challenge, Silver Belle did well, placing third in the in-hand division. Silver Belle is easily caught, haltered, and she leads well. In addition, she will trailer and stand for the farrier. She can be tied, although this was problematic for a previous handler. For this reason, this mare should be tied in the company of a calm horse to ensure her confidence. Silver Belle is a very personable mare and loves to be brushed and pampered. She has great potential for an adopter who is willing to continue working with her.
