About Sedona

Sedona was placed with BEHS animal control. Sedona spent June-October 2015 with trainer John Cesare in Alpine, TX to prepare for the Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge. John started her under saddle and said she has a great mind and loves to please. She learned to tie and ground tie while there. They rode all over a 37,000 acre ranch and through mountains. She learned to work cattle and rope (although she’s green at both still). John took Sedona home after the Expo, and in February 2016 decided to adopt her and keep her as a ranch and working horse.

Evaluation and Training

Sedona's first foster home said she had nice ground manners, but she tried saddling and riding her and didn't believe she was broke to ride. This mare should make someone a nice working/using mare, trail mare, or pleasure mare.
