About Lady Sue

Lady Sue came to BEHS when her owners could not keep her.

Lady Sue took 3rd place in the professional division of the 2016 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge and was adopted at the event.

Evaluation and Training

Lady Sue is smart and a nice mover, and gets along well with her pasture mates. She was not broke to ride when she arrived at Bluebonnet, but she's spending June-October 2016 with a trainer. He started her under saddle and he's ridden her in arenas, on trails, and over obstacles to prepare her for adoption.

Lady Sue's Challenge trainer says Lady Sue could be a great English or Western horse, "Lady Sue would make a great English or Western riding horse for a 4-H project or even for someone wanting to show English or Western. Of course if they just want to go on trail rides she is great for that also. She has long legs and if used for English or dressage, she would show well because her legs accentuate her movements and it's easy to see what she is doing (shoulders-in, hindquarters-in, diagonals, side-passing, lead changes, etc…)"
