About Remedy
Remedy was removed from a negligent owner and placed with BEHS by animal control. She was pregnant when she arrived and had her foal, Lucky Charm, in March 2016. After weaning Lucky Charm, Remedy ended up with a trainer who found she was broke to ride and fairly quiet. She was adopted by a Bluebonnet supporter who had been looking for the right horse to adopt for several years!
Evaluation and Training
Remedy is a sweet mare who is easy to handle on the ground. She is good to catch, leads, and loads well. She navigates trail obstacles in hand well. Remedy's former owners said she was a trail horse, although we cannot evaluate that. She does stand well for saddling and does well over obstacles in hand.Remedy spent a month with trainer Hilary LoBue in mid-March to mid-April 2017. Hilary said Remedy did not seem to know much when she arrived, but by the end of the month she was able to walk, trot, and canter with a rider. She also does well navigating trail obstacles with a rider.She's a very sweet and quiet mare, and she has great potential to be a pleasure or trail horse for someone willing to continue riding her.
