About Juliette
Juliette was removed from negligent owners and placed with BEHS. She attended the 2015 Bluebonnet Horse Training Challenge, met an adopter, and went to a new home. Her adopters returned her in January 2016. Her new foster home fell in love with her, though, and adopted her as a trail riding horse. In February 2020 her family notified us that she had crossed the rainbow bridge. Her family said "We’ve had her for many years, and she was beyond loved! Our beautiful princess was almost 30 yrs old, and she took a piece of this families heart with her! Rest In Peace my Juliette! Forever loved!"
Evaluation and Training
Juliette is a wonderful, sweet horse. She is very well mannered, extremely gentle and very easy to handle. She loads, stands for the farrier, picks up her feet, ties and trailers. She never nips, kicks or even crowds her handler. She lunges well, and she stands well to be saddled, takes the bit and bridle well, and stands quietly for mounting. Her former owner said she was a trail horse, and while we cannot verify that we can verify that she's a nice, quiet riding horse. Due to her age, she's available for light to moderate riding: mostly walking and trotting with some cantering. No hard or long trails, no jumping, and no gaming. She could do some moderate/easily trail riding and pleasure riding.Her foster mom says she cannot stress what a nice, gentle horse she is.Juliette is on the lower end of the pecking order and gets along with everyone. She is very calm and not spooky at all.
