About Independence
Independence (Indy) was removed from negligent owners and placed with BEHS by law enforcement. Indy's foster home rehabilitated him and discovered that he had probably been ridden but did not know much of anything (he was willing but confused under saddle). She adopted him in October 2015 but returned him in February 2016 when she discovered she didn't have enough time to bring along a green horse. He competed in the professional division of the 2016 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge and was adopted at the event.
Evaluation and Training
Independence is a nice gelding with good ground manners. Independence is in training with Tina Parnell getting ready to show under saddle in the professional division of the Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge. She’s been riding him in arenas, over obstacles, on trails, and at events in an effort to prepare for the Challenge.
