BEHS 783 – Amaal

Amaal is very inquisitive and loves people and attention. He halters, leads, stands quietly for the vet and the farrier, lunges in both directions, comes when he is called and halters easily in the field. He bathes well, is comfortable with dogs and gets along very well with other horses. Amaal stands to be saddled and has had a lot of ground work done. Amaal was started under saddle by Amy Andreson for the Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge. He placed in the top 5 in the 2016 Challenge. Amy had Amaal going under saddle at a walk, trot, and canter. They’ve ridden in an arena, on trails, and at events. They’ve also been in drill team performances, and she’s ridden him bareback. Amy says he’s doing awesome! She says that he is very brave and curious, is very accepting of new things, and likes having a job, likes having something to do. He is a forward mover with very smooth gaits. He's spent four months in the summer and fall of 2017 with a foster home preparing for the Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge. They'e been riding in arenas, on trails, and over obstacles. Amaal is brave and curious and could make a great trail, pleasure, or open show horse.Amaal is a very sensitive horse. He's very, very light in his mouth and responds to the lightest weight and leg cues. He's too responsive for most novice or beginner riders, but he's an awesome horse for someone who enjoys sensitive and responsive horses. He could be an open show horse, trail horse, or endurance horse.
