About Sweet Clover

Sweet clover was adopted with her mom in 2015 and was later returned in 2021. Clover is a very sweet and sensitive girl that would do great for an intermediate to advanced person. She is sensitive and can be reactive but is learning to calm and stop when she feels pressured.

Sweet Clover was adopted at the 2022 Training Challenge. Unfortunately, her adopter had to return her due to no fault of Sweet Clover.

Evaluation and Training

Sweet Clover was born at a Bluebonnet foster home, her dam arrived at Bluebonnet pregnant. She was adopted as a youngster and then returned several years later. Her adopters had not handled her much, so Sweet Clover went to trainers Ryan and Jennifer Skinner for both ground work and to be started under saddle. Jennifer said that Sweet Clover was very sensitive and very athletic, and she felt she had a future in nearly any horse sport that an adopter wished to trainer her in.

Sweet Clover competed in the professional division of the 2022 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge. Her Challenge trainer rode her both in the arena and out on the trails. She was still green when she competed in the Challenge, but she has such an amazing future ahead of her. We can see her as a show horse or working horse for someone wants to continue her training. She’s young, athletic, sensitive, and adores having a job to do.
